Assign a conversation
Make one teammate responsible for a WhatsApp conversation, so it shows in their Mine tab.
Purpose
Assigning a conversation makes one teammate responsible for it. It doesn't stop the assistant or let anyone reply. To write to the patient yourself, take it over (Reply as a person).
Before you start
the Owner, Doctor and Front Desk roles can assign.
you can only pick teammates who are members of the centre you're signed in to.
Steps
Step 2: Choose a teammate
Doselect the teammate.
You'll seethe pill shows their name, or You if you picked yourself.
Sothe conversation now counts under their Mine tab and leaves Unassigned.
Step 3: Unassign it
Doselect the Assigned pill, then Unassign.
You'll seethe pill reads Unassigned.
Unassign appears only when someone is assigned.
Result
You'll seethe assignee's name on the Assigned pill.
Soyour teammate sees it under Mine. Whoever was handling the conversation, the assistant or a person, is
still handling it.
If it doesn't work

Limits
a conversation has one assignee at a time.
assigning doesn't send a notification and doesn't add to the number next to Inbox. Your
teammate sees it in their Mine count.
automatic assignment is not available. Each conversation is assigned by hand.
handed-over callers can't be assigned.
Checked against the Keel product source and in the live product on 2026-10-10. The Unassigned and Mine tab counts in the Inbox list were observed. Opening a conversation, the assignee menu, assigning and unassigning were not exercised.
