Purpose

Your trial ends in two ways: when its 14 days run out, or when you use up its AI notes. This guide shows what you see at each point, what keeps working, and how to lift the limit.

Before you start

the trial has three stages: 14 days of trial, then 3 days of grace, then read-only.
the stages apply to the whole clinic. Everyone on the team sees the same banner.
only the Owner can request an upgrade. Everyone else can notify the Owner.

Steps

Step 1: Watch the countdown

You'll seenear the end of the trial, a navy banner reading Trial ends in 2 days, with Upgrade for more →.
Sothis is your reminder to choose a plan before the trial ends.
the same banner warns you when you are close to a usage limit, for example 8 of 10 AI notes used. Only one warning shows at a time.

Step 2: Keep working during the grace days

You'll seeafter day 14, an amber banner reading Your trial ended — upgrade to keep working. followed by the days left, with Upgrade →.
Soeverything still works for 3 more days. The banner stays until you upgrade or the grace days end.

Step 3: Recognise read-only mode

You'll seea red banner with a lock: Your trial has ended. You can view everything — upgrading lets you work again.
Soyou can still open patients, past consultations, notes and records. You can't book appointments, add patients, record or finish consultations, write AI notes, invite teammates or add a clinic.
if you try, Keel shows Your free trial has ended. Upgrade to keep creating consults, patients, and messages.

Step 4: When AI notes run out

You'll seeafter End consult in Scribe, no draft note, and no message saying why. After ten minutes the screen shows Not back yet.
Sothe trial's 10 AI notes are used. Keel keeps the recording and transcript but won't write new AI notes until you upgrade. The rest of your trial keeps working.
before you reach the limit, the banner shows your usage, for example 8 of 10 AI notes used.
on a recording screen with End consultation and generate notes, Keel instead shows a notice titled AI note limit reached, with Request upgrade and Maybe later.
generating the note again for a consultation that already has one doesn't use another AI note.

Step 5: Lift the limit

Doselect Upgrade → on the banner, or Request upgrade on the notice. Once your plan is active, select Retry on a consultation whose note didn't come back.
You'll seefrom the banner, the Owner sees the plans. Anyone else sees Only your clinic owner can upgrade. and Notify owner.
Soonce Airgent activates your plan, the banner goes away and work carries on with nothing lost.
