Why a feature is unavailable
Find out whether your trial, a plan limit or your role is stopping a feature, and what to do about each.
Purpose
A feature can be out of reach for three reasons: your trial has ended, your plan has reached a limit, or your role can't use it. Check in this order and stop at the first ✗.
Checklist
- If you see: A red banner says Your trial has ended. You can view everything — upgrading lets you work again.Your clinic is read-only. Understand trial expiry and usage limits, then the Owner requests an upgrade
- If you see: An amber banner says Your trial ended — upgrade to keep working.Everything still works for now. The Owner should request an upgrade before the days run out
- If you see: You see AI note limit reachedYour plan's AI notes are used up. The Owner requests an upgrade
- If you see: You see Seat limit reached when inviting someoneYour plan has no seat left for that role. The Owner requests an upgrade
- If you see: You see You've reached the clinic limit on your plan.Your plan has no room for another clinic. The Owner requests an upgrade
- If you see: You need the agents that answer calls or WhatsApp messages during a trialThe trial doesn't include them. See what your trial includes
- If you see: You see Only your clinic owner can upgrade.Only the Owner can upgrade. Select Notify owner (who can change the plan)
- If you see: In Settings, the section is under Also in this clinic, or a screen shows VIEW ONLYYour role can't change it. Resolve an unavailable action
- If you see: Billing & plan shows Billing & plan · coming soonPlan and invoice management isn't available in Keel yet
- If you see: You asked for an upgrade, but nothing has changedA request isn't instant. The Airgent team activates the plan after they contact you

Checked against the Keel product source and in the live product on 2026-10-09. The Settings role labels, View only and the Billing & plan coming-soon page were observed. The trial banners, limit notices and the upgrade screen were not observed.
