Start a sitting
Press I'm here on Today when you arrive, so the desk knows you're in and can start sending patients in.
Purpose
A sitting is your stretch of hours at the clinic, such as a morning or an evening. Pressing I'm here tells the desk you have arrived, so they can start sending patients in.
Before you start
only the doctor can start their own sitting. Nobody can press I'm here for you.
you need hours for today. Without them there is no sitting to start.
you can start from half an hour before your hours begin.
Steps
Step 1: Open your day
Doselect Today.
You'll seea band reading Your sitting starts followed by the time and how many are booked, a NOT STARTED
pill, and the I'm here button.
if your hours start more than half an hour from now, the band reads Your next clinic is and
your hours, with You can open your queue from half an hour before it starts. and no button yet.
Step 2: Press I'm here
Doselect I'm here.
You'll seeCHECKED IN and You're in since followed by the time, then The floor can send patients in now.
Sothe desk knows you're in and can start sending patients in.
Result
You'll seethe band goes. The top of the day card shows a key reading IN and your start time.
pressing again does no harm. It says You were already in since and the time.
If it doesn't work
- If you see: No I'm here buttonCheck you're on your own day and that your hours start within half an hour
- If you see: You are not down to sit at this hour, so there is no sitting to start.Add or correct your hours for today (before this)
- If you see: Only the doctor whose sitting this is can start it.The doctor presses I'm here from their own account
- If you see: Your sitting was opened but not started. Press again.Press I'm here again
- If you see: That did not go through — nothing was recorded. Try again.Press I'm here again
- If you see: Your sitting could not be started — nothing was recorded.Ask the clinic Owner to check your access (if something's wrong)

Limits
I'm here doesn't block anything. You can open a consultation before you press it.
starting a consultation with a checked-in patient also starts your sitting.
pausing a sitting is not available. When you leave, end it (see also).
Checked against the Keel product source and in the live product on 2026-10-10. The band shown more than half an hour before your hours, with no button yet, and the Not started pill were observed. The I'm here button, pressing it, the In key and the refusals were not exercised.
