Understand Doctor's Day
Find your way around Today, the page Keel opens on, which shows one doctor's day, queue and who's next.
Purpose
Today is the page Keel opens on after you sign in. It shows one doctor's day: how many patients have been seen, who is waiting and who is next. This guide shows where each part is.
Before you start
Today opens on your own day. If you're allowed to see other doctors' days, you can switch to
one.
the day fills from the doctor's hours and bookings. A doctor with no hours that day has nothing to
show.
Steps
Step 1: Open Today
Doselect Today in the left menu.
You'll seethe My day view. Schedule, Funnel, Money and Quality show Coming soon.
Step 2: Read the day card
Dolook at the top of the day card.
You'll seePATIENTS SEEN with a count such as 3 of 12, and a bar with seen, in consult and
to come. A NOT STARTED pill means the sitting hasn't begun. A LIVE pill means someone is with the doctor.
below it, BOOKED PER HOUR shows how full each hour is.
Step 3: Open the queue
Doselect the progress bar.
You'll seeThe queue with groups In the room, Waiting, Still to come and Seen, each with a count.
Sothis is the whole sitting in one list, grouped by where each patient is now.
Step 4: Change the day or doctor
Douse the arrows beside the date to move a day back or forward. To see a colleague, select the doctor's
name and choose another doctor.
You'll seePAST or PLANNED beside a date that isn't today, and Back to today to return.
I'm here and the sitting key appear only on your own day, never on a colleague's.
Step 5: Check who's next
Dolook below the day card.
You'll seeNEXT UP with the next two patients and All to see everyone.
COLLECTED, among the day card's figures, reads not recorded yet, because Keel doesn't record
payments yet.
Result
You'll seethe doctor's day: who has been seen, who is in the room, who is waiting and who comes next.
Soyou can run the day from this page and open each patient from it.
If it doesn't work
- If you see: We could not read your day just now…Refresh the page. If it keeps happening, report a problem.
- If you see: Your account cannot open consultations at this centre…Ask the clinic Owner to check your role (see also)
- If you see: No sitting rostered on this day.Give the doctor hours for that day (before this)
- If you see: You are on today · Nothing has been booked into your hours yet.Select Open your schedule to book into the doctor's hours
- Working: PATIENTS SEEN and the queueDone
Limits
only the My day view is built. The other four views are not available yet.
COLLECTED stays empty until Keel records payments.
Checked against the Keel product source and in the live product on 2026-10-10. Opening Today on the My day view, the list of doctors, the day card with Patients seen, Not started, Booked per hour and Collected, Next up and the empty-day message were observed. The queue, another doctor's day, past and future days, a running sitting and the error messages were not exercised.
