Set clinic hours
Set your clinic's weekly opening hours and holidays, which agents tell patients and which limit every doctor's bookable time.
Purpose
Your opening hours are what the phone and WhatsApp agents tell patients when they ask when you're open. They also set the outer limit for every doctor: agents never offer a time when the clinic is closed. This guide sets your weekly hours and adds a clinic holiday.
Before you start
only the clinic Owner can change opening hours and clinic holidays.
opening hours don't make any doctor bookable on their own. Each doctor also needs their own
weekly hours.
until you save opening hours, agents can't book appointments. They take a message instead.
Steps
Step 1: Open clinic settings
Doopen Settings, then Clinic.
You'll seethe Opening hours section, with one row for each day from Monday to Sunday.
Step 2: Set each day's sessions
Dotick Open for each day you're open, then set the session's start and end times. For a break, select
+ session and set a second session.
You'll seea day you tick starts with one session, 09:00 to 13:00. A day you untick shows Closed.
Soany time outside these sessions counts as closed, for patients and for every doctor.
a day can have up to four sessions.
Step 3: Save the hours
Doselect Save changes.
You'll seeSaved.
Save changes stays unavailable until you change something. It also saves the other clinic
details on the page.
Step 4: Add a clinic holiday
Doopen Settings, then Hours & availability. Under EDITING, choose Clinic (all doctors) and select
+ Out of office. Pick the dates, add a note if you want one, then select Add.
You'll seethe holiday listed under Clinic holidays & closures, tagged OFF.
Sono doctor can be offered a time on those dates.
to close only part of a day, use + Block time and set the times instead.
Result
You'll seeon Calendar, with all doctors shown, the shading follows your opening hours.
Soif a doctor's own hours run past your closing time, agents offer that doctor only the part inside your
opening hours.
If it doesn't work
- If you see: Clinic shows Owner only in SettingsOnly the Owner can change clinic hours. Ask the Owner.
- If you see: Closing time must be after opening timeFix that session's times (step 2)
- If you see: Sessions on the same day must not overlapMove or remove one of the sessions (step 2)
- If you see: At most four sessions per dayMerge some sessions (step 2)
- If you see: Clinic name is requiredFill in the clinic name on the same page, then save again
- If you see: Unsaved changes is still showingSelect Save changes (step 3)
- Working: Saved.Done. If a doctor still has no free times, check their own hours (next guide).
Limits
a session can't run past midnight.
+ Extra hours for Clinic (all doctors) doesn't give any doctor extra bookable time. Add
extra hours to the doctor instead.
a holiday saves as soon as you select Add. There's no separate save.
Checked against the Keel product source and in the live product on 2026-10-09. The Clinic opening hours section, the clinic holidays section on Hours & availability and the calendar shading note were observed. Saving, the error messages and adding a holiday were not exercised.
